I decided to take the girls out for a fun-filled Sunday afternoon. We started by picking pumpkins in the patch. Carly and Abby both had a blast running through the fields of the bright orange squash... but Isabella had other plans! She was not as excited to pick out the pumpkin that best fit her. As a matter of fact, mommy had to pick hers out because she wanted nothing to do with them. But that's OK... they are a tad scary looking there, especially when you have no idea what it is and why it is attached to a pokey vine.
The total purchase was $22.00... not bad for over 100lbs of pumpkin... no joke, literally 100 lbs! In total, we got 4 HUGE ones and one little- for the baby :)
Along the way, podiums were set up with facts and traceables... the goal was to get all 6 trace pictures and visit the remaining 8 podiums. In total, I think we saw 10... 5 tracings and 5 non. We did have to take a potty break about 45 minutes into the corn maze- so luckily we found a man working the maze (on the inside) who ever so nicely helped us out (the entrance, of course)! After our short break, we were at it again... this time the goal was to find our way out the exit :)
After using the cheat map (and instructions from a worker), we finally found the exit....
After all was done in the maze, Abby and Isabella were going to take a ride on the 'Barrel Train'. After I bought the tickets (you'd think we were at D-land by the line I waited in), Carly decided that she wanted to go on. Not exactly a ride for a 12 year old... but hey, whatever. The 'train' conductor let her on... after me paying cash, of course.
