Angela and Nichole have known each other for several years now, and have been exclusive to one another for months. They have decided to join each other in matrimony. They will be married on October 16, 2010... we are very excited for them, and Carly cannot wait to be apart of this union. As it stands, they will marry in Iowa...unless between now and then other states jump on board with same-sex marriage. Currently only three (soon to be five) states recognize same-sex marriage.
It is a shame that two people who love each other so much, and have such an immense bond to one another, are treated like secondhand citizen when requesting the same union as a man and woman. I challenge you to ask yourself, honestly, what is it to you if a woman and woman, or man and man are married? What makes a heterosexual couple better and more worthy of a legal union?
