The kitchen has become our place of family gatherings... at least that is how it seems lately! On our quest to find new things to make and eat, we have set out to make vegan style, so the baby can eat them, tamales.
Mission accomplished! We made three different types: veggie (corn, cactus, onion, olive, garlic & something else that has slipped my mind), Boca meat (with mexican spices) and Soy'rizo (vegetarian chorizo sausage).
The prep took no time at all... but I was not prepared for the wait on them cooking...it seemed like an eternity before we could wrap our mouths around the yummy goodness!

We actually waited until the next morning to eat them... yummm, breakfast tamales :) We ate a Werner version of a traditional Mexican breakfast:
Eggs, Tamales, Rice and Beans
Oh, and some spiced potato wedges
