This afternoon we took a trip to Thurman Cafe. It is a small burger joint nestled in the German Village of Columbus. When we arrived there was about an hour wait...but we have wanted to check out the place since we had seen it showcased on Man Vs. Food...so we waited. And waited.
Tom was up for the challenge (he had not eaten at all today) to eat the "Thurman-ator"...so he ordered it. If you have not seen Adam Richman (Man Vs Food) eat it, here is the menu description. Hopefully it is big enough to make out. Otherwise, you will get a pretty good feel for it from the pictures and youtube video :)
And in the left corner we have the Thurman-ator...
And in the right corner we have Tom the challenger...

Oh my! It is as tall as a 20oz beer glass... or from Tom's nose to chin!
That just looks like a colon issue waiting to happen! Ewwwww
He has downed about three glasses of tea, as well. Good thing it's not alcohol... that would probably be like adding fuel to a fire!
He's getting there...
Just looking at it gives me gas...
Ugh! Almost complete!
One more bite, one more bite, one more bite...
And the winner is...
The challenger! Only took about an hour and many burps.
So we were told that the record for eating the burger (and fries), is 6 minutes. 6 minutes!
I will let you know how Tom is doing tomorrow morning after the food has had time to process! Ewwwwy!
