Purple People-Eater (Carly goes purple)

As many of you know, we are pretty open with Carly and her choice to style her hair. Furthermore, most of you know that she has had hair color ranging from bleached to maroon... and from bright pink to black. She has pretty much had a variety of colors (and styles... including a Mohawk that grandma was not so fond of!). Well, this summer she decided she wanted a new color... none other than purple! She has a pact with her best friend in Minnesota...so she can't cut her hair until they see one another :) (so if you'd like to donate to her trip fund, let me know! hint-hint, wink-wink)

Let the fun begin!

It looks dark (or even black)...

...but I assure you, in the sunlight, the purple is VERY visable!

Ok, seriously, that is so cool that you would let Carly color her hair purple. You said you wanted me to be your mommy, but seriously, can you be mine??? My mom would never have let me do that. But why not? It doesn't hurt anything and it lets them express who they are. She's rockin' that color purple!! Thumbs WAY up!

We would rather her do these thing, under our supervision, than to go out and do it behind our back. Ya know? She knows she will get whatever she wants, she just has to follow rules :)

That is the best parenting rule I have heard!! It's smart, practical, and works for both you and the girls. This is something I would like to adopt for when Dakota gets older. You can be overly strict, but you can't just let them do whatever the heck they want. I like your style!!
