Today Isabella had a follow up appt for the last round of ear infection treatment. Sure enough... she still has an infection. This time the right ear is 'pink, but maybe clearing up' and the left is 'very red and swollen'. I swear the infection jumps from ear to ear. So since we have done the Amoxcilin (a couple times) and Omnicef- we are jumping to the next step... a three day series of Rocephin shots- doubled up with Biaxin, twice a day for the next ten days. If the infection is not 'showing improvements' by Friday (in 3 days), Dr. Campbell is going to call around to find an ENT that will take her in ASAP. As it stands, she is not getting better and her ENT appt is not until July 2nd. Poor child has had a constant infection since February... we can't take much more!
Here is the little fighter at her appt today. Today was also the first dose of Rocephin. We go back to the doctors office for the next two days for dose 2 & 3... luckily they have stickers to distract her with... but man is she going to hate to go there by the time Thursday rolls around!
